Orlando Shooting Victims Include Hudson Valley Native

A 33-year-old man who grew up in Ramapo was one of the 49 people killed in the Orlando, Florida, gay nightclub mass shooting Sunday.

Shane Tomlinson lived in Rockland County until he moved with his family to North Carolina, an article in the Journal News said. 

Tomlinson had just performed Saturday night at Orlando’s Blue Martini Lounge, as the lead singer of Frequency Band, a cover group, and went to Pulse afterward, the Charlotte Observer said.

Dennis Bailey, the president of a management firm that worked with Frequency, called Tomlinson a “tremendous talent, a role model for all in the music business,” the Orlando Sentinel reported.
