Pedestrian Dies On The Palisades Parkway
A Rockland County resident was hit by a car Friday night.
SPRING VALLEY, NY — A Spring Valley man died Friday on the Palisades Parkway in Orange County.
State police were called to the southbound side of the parkway in the town of Rockland after a car hit a pedestrian on the road.
Police said it happened around 11 p.m. near exit 12. Their preliminary investigation concluded that Genoval Gonzalez Quintana, 47, was stuck and killed by a passenger vehicle while walking on the parkway.

Police said the driver was returning home from work when he stuck Quintana. Police determined that he was not intoxicated and was not in possession of a cell phone.
No charges were filed Friday.
