RCDS Presents 'ANNIE: The Musical'
Tickets are $15, $12 for children and seniors, and can be purchased at the door.

From Rockland County Day School: Happy 60th Anniversary: The Students of Rockland Country Day School took to the stage and impressed an audience of over 150 people at our Spring Gala last Saturday night as we celebrated the 60th Anniversary of our wonderful and unique institution. Alumni, parents, current and form er employees, and students all came together to support our goal of connecting the past with the present to create a strong future. Our gala was a huge success, bringing in over $25,000 for RCDS. Eric Kohlmeier, Senior Financial Advisor and Managing Director of Wells Fargo, sparked a very lively donation event, and his donation was generously matched by Wells Fargo. The highlight of the evening was the preview of Annie, The Musical. Our student performers wowed the audience with “It’s a hard knocks life” leaving everyone wanting more. David Hodgins, owner of Woodcliff Manor, where our gala took place, said “Your kids are so talented. I now want to go to your school to see the rest of the show.”
This weekend Rockland Country Day School presents Annie, The Musical. Show times are Friday, April 12 at 7:00 PM, Saturday, April 13 at 2:00 and 7:00 PM, and Sunday, April 14 at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $15.00 and $12.00 for children and seniors, and can be purchased at the door.
The theater program is an integral part of life at RCDS. Each year, the school presents a Fall drama
and a Spring musical and, in true RCDS fashion, the entire community is involved. The emphasis in our productions is always on the students’ experience. Jocelyn Feuerstein, Head of School, said “What you see on our stage is a natural presentation of their energy, their work, and their spirit. The results speak for themselves.” Despite or because of the school’s small size, its productions have established RCDS as a strong presence in the Tri-State area, garnering annual nominations for the Metropolitan High School Theatre Awards (Metros). Many of our students have gone on to conservatory training and careers in the performing arts, most notably Sarah Kramer (Mamma Mia!) and Sebastian Stan (Kings, Gossip Girl, and Captain America/Avengers). Even for students who do not pursue the visual or performing arts as a career, the RCDS theater program is a powerful expression of the creative, humanistic spirit that drives RCDS.
