Roads Closed, Wires Down, Power Outages in Rockland
The High Wind Warning has been extended to 1 p.m.
ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Parts of Strawtown and New Hempstead roads have been closed due to downed power lines, the Clarkstown police reported.
O&R reports there are 83 active outages for a total of 2,438 customers out of power as of 10:16 a.m.
The National Weather Service updated its High Wind Warning early Thursday.

Outages have climbed since the 6:30 a.m. reportwhen there were 1,504 customers without power. The bulk of the outages are in northern New Jersey, but there are multiple scattered outages across Rockland County.
