
When colleagues think of Thomas M. Mingone—the founder, president and managing partner at the Pearl River based Capital Management Group of New York—they see him as the epitomy of class and professionalism.
“Tom is a true gentleman and a role model to many,” said Vincent Parascandola, the chief sales officer for AXA Advisors, in a press release. “His business ethics are evident in all aspects of his business.”
Mingone was raised in New City and graduated from Clarkstown South High School. His family founded and ran Romolo’s Restaurant in Congers, a Rockland County icon for 29 years.

Mingone was recently awarded with a double honor from AXA Advisors at its Top Producer for 2012 and the 2012 National Honor Associate Award, the highest award granted to AXA Advisors’ financial professionals.
AXA Advisors— which offers life insurance, annuity, and financial products and service— gives the National Honor Associate Award to one financial professional each year that represents the “total professional” expemplifying community service, loyalty, leadership and respect.

“When my son started in the business,” said Parascandola. “I told him on his first day to spend time with Tom Mingone, because Tom is the person and the professional that you want to model.”
Mingone founded Capital Management Group, a financial service and wealth management group, in Nyack in 1990. After 10 yaers in New City the office was moved t its current Pearl River location in 2009. Despite his busy schedule, Mingone makes time to give back to his community. He is a coach and board member of the North Rockland Soccer Assocation, supports the Hudson Valley Make a Wish Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Association, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and scholarships for the Rockalnd Conservatory of Music.
