Rockland Country Day School Alum Earns Emmy Nomination
He was nominated in sound editing for FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened.

RCDS: Congratulations to Alumnus Nathan Hasz ‘11 who just earned his first Emmy Award nomination. Hasz is nominated for “Outstanding Sound Editing” as Sound Supervisor for FYRE:
The Greatest Party That Never Happened. The Netflix documentary gives a behind-the-scenes look at how a festival “billed as a luxury music experience on a posh private island” failed so miserably. The RCDS alumnus and his team are up for this award against the sound editors of Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown, Free Solo, Leaving Neverland, and Our Planet.
After graduating from Rockland Country Day School, he attended Northeastern University. Hasz continued his education, graduating from Georgetown University before his career working at Gigantic Studios in 2017. As the resident sound editor for the post-production sound facility, Hasz has achieved great success. In addition to his recent Emmy nomination, he has worked on the sound for eight projects selected for the Sundance Film Festival in the past two years. The 71st Emmy Awards can be watched live on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 8ET/5PT Fox.
