Southbound Lane Closures on the Palisades Wednesday in Clarkstown

Construction work is scheduled to go all day and into the night on the parkway.

NEW CITY, NY — Lane closures are expected to occur on the southbound Palisades Interstate Parkway in the vicinity of Exit 10 (North Middletown Road) in Clarkstown between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Crews will be performing construction activities, weather permitting.

At least one southbound travel lane will remain open, but motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible, state transportation officials said.

Use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices.

Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone!

In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
