Saint Paul's had bested Saint Francis (New City) 44-34 in the Rockland County Championship to qualify to play in the state tournament.

In fact, the team went undefeated 8-0 in the playoffs. The team was 28-9 for the season and only lost one game in its age group this year, the other 8 losses came playing older teams, Campanella said.
