Supermarket Chain Donates Gift Cards To Needy Rockland Seniors
Many clients have great difficulty affording meaningful holiday meals, said the head of Rockland County's Office for the Aging.
NEW CITY, NY — The Rockland County Office for the Aging got a special gift to distribute to some elderly Rockland residents. Its director, Tina Cardoza-Izquierdo, announced that 150 $10 gift cards from Inserra Supermarkets will go to the Office for the Aging’s clients who are most in need.
“I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Inserra Supermarkets for providing gift cards to the Office for the Aging’s Holiday Drive. Your generosity has once again made a true impact on our clients who need basic ingredients for holiday meals,” Cardoza-Izquierdo said in a press release.
The cards will go to clients of Rockland's Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program and Senior Community Service Employment Program. Many of them face significant financial challenges and have great difficulty affording meaningful holiday meals, she said.
