United Water Announces Promotions

Michael J. Pointing, vice president and general manager of the United Water New York Division, announced two promotions for key leadership positions within the organization.

Chris Graziano has assumed the responsibilities of director of operations for the United Water New York Division. Graziano, who has been with the company for 22 years, most recently served as director of operations for United Water New Rochelle and United Water Westchester. He began his career with United Water as a meter reader and earned positions of increasing responsibility over the years.

Graziano, a resident of Wantagh, is a member of the American Water Works Association, Westchester Water Works Conference, Long Island Water Conference and the National Association of Water Companies. He holds New York State Grades 1B and IIB groundwater treatment plant operator licenses as well as a distribution system operator license.

 

Lynda DiMenna has been appointed manager of United Water New Rochelle and United Water Westchester. She has overall responsibilities for both business units where she most recently served as manager of operations. DiMenna joined United Water 15 years ago as a bookkeeping clerk and advanced through several positions within the company.

 

DiMenna, a resident of Nanuet, is a member of the American Water Works Association, Hudson Valley Water Works, Westchester Water Works and the National Association of Water Companies--NY Chapter. DiMenna holds New York State Grades 1B and IIB groundwater treatment plant operator licenses as well as a distribution system operator license. She has a BS from Dominican College of Blauvelt and is currently pursuing an MBA with an international certification in business at Iona, Hagen School of Business.

 

“Chris and Lynda have demonstrated that they have the talent to take on the challenges that lie ahead,” said Pointing. “These include increasingly stringent regulations designed to improve water quality, enhance reliability and safeguard the environment.
