2 Treated After Crash In Cutchogue

The crash took place at the intersection of Cox Lane and County Road 48, police say.

CUTCHOGUE, NY — Two drivers were treated at the scene after a crash in Cutchogue Wednesday morning, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, the crash took place at 6:52 a.m. on Cox Lane when Jany J. Diaz Ochoa, 35, of Baldwin, who was driving a 2011 Dodge east on County Road 48, collided with a 2021 Subaru driven by Brian McNamara, 64, of Niskayuna, NY.

Ochoa attempted to make a left turn onto Cox Lane from County Rd. 48; both drivers said they had a green light at the time of the crash, police said.

Both were treated by Cutchogue Fire Department first responders due to airbag deployment in both vehicles, police said.

No charges were filed, police said.
