5 Charged in Riverhead Drug Bust

Maurice Pittman, Rasheed Manuel, Tesheara Fields, Brandon Williams and Jeffrey Pittman were arrested on various charges.

A joint narcotics investigation yielded five arrests in the Third Street area of Riverhead on May 13.

According to the report, the East End Drug Task Force (EEDTF) and Riverhead Police Department COPE Unit conducted the investigation after numerous neighborhood complaints about illegal drug activity. The investigation resulted in the recovery of narcotics and the arrest of five subjects.

  • Jeffrey Pittman, 44, of Shirley was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, Loitering and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
  • Maurice Pittman, 36, of Coram was charged with Loitering 1st Degree as well as Parole Warrant.
  • Rasheed Manuel, 22, of Mastic was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 5th Degree and 7th Degree, as well as Loitering 1st Degree.
  • Tesheara Fields, 22, of Flanders was charged with Loitering 1st Degree.
  • Brandon Williams, 27, of Bridgehampton was charged with Loitering 1st Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

All five subjects were transported to Riverhead Police Headquarters and three of the subjects were held for Thursday morning arraignment at Riverhead Justice Court.
