Please understand that there are privacy issues, and I have reached out to The Suffolk County Executive, who has agreed to provide a uniform way to communicate this information in an appropriate manner for all school districts in the county, and not just Greenport. It is very likely that the number of confirmed cases will increase both inside and outside of the school community due to an increase in testing.

The Suffolk County Department of Health will contact individuals who are considered to have been in “close contact” with a confirmed case.
As a District, we encourage all community members to practice social distancing. Social Distancing means reducing the frequency of large gatherings.
I will continue to provide our community with regular and timely updates as new information becomes available.
Thank you and have a good evening.
