Dog Chained Outside For 11 Years Needs Home, Love
"He thinks he hit the jackpot coming to the shelter. I can't wait to see how happy he is when he finds a real family and a real home."

NORTH FORK, NY — A dog who has spent his life chained up outdoors is waiting for his new beginning and forever family.
According to Gabrielle Stroup of the North Fork Animal Welfare League in Peconic, Bruno, a hound/bully mix, is 11 years old and arthritic. He was chained up outside for the better part of those 11 years, until his owners agreed to send him to the shelter, where staffers are searching for someone to bring him home.
Bruno takes medicine for arthritis in his back legs, which will be provided by the shelter for as long as he needs it, Stroup said.

"He’s the sweetest dog ever," Stroup said. "He is just loving the shelter because he has a warm bed, regular meals, and lots of love."
Bruno, she said, "is super special, and now he just needs and deserves a real home. Because even though he thinks he hit the jackpot, coming to the shelter, I can't wait to see how happy he is when he finds a real family and home!"
