Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?
Conant: I have been a licensed real estate professional practicing in Greenport and the North Fork since 1995. Douglas Elliman was established on the North Fork in 2003 and opened in Greenport in May of 2014, and I joined Douglas Elliman in 2016.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?
Conant: A love of landscape, architecture and the transformative power of both drew me into real estate, especially when these are in perfect harmony with each other.
Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger, what would you say?
Conant: My business mission is to be knowledgeable, transparent, honest, creative and determined on behalf of my buyers and sellers.
Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?
Conant: Making certain that the buyers and sellers with whom I work are fully educated about current real estate market conditions on the North Fork, so they can make informed decisions during the entire process.
Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Conant: Making a great match between buyer and seller where both sides are respected, listened to and satisfied with the deal.
Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?
Conant: I chose to practice real estate in a very personalized manner, primarily referral based and customizing my approach to match the needs of every individual buyer or seller.
Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?
Conant: Don't let success ruin the good practice that brought you success in the first place and always keep your moral compass fine-tuned.
Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you’re working on that you’re extra excited
about?
Conant: My next listing and next buyer referral are always the most exciting things on the horizon.
Patch: Do you have any events coming up in your community?
Conant: Memorial Day weekend is always exciting because it brings back all of our past clients to enjoy their homes for the season, and it is a great opportunity to work with new people and have them fall in love with our community.
