Fire Breaks Out In Mattituck Cottage
Firefighters rushed to the cottage on Wickham Avenue Saturday morning.

MATTITUCK, NY — A fire broke out in a Mattituck cottage Saturday morning, officials said.
According to Mattituck Fire Department officials, the fire broke out in the crawl space of the cottage, located on Wickham Avenue, at 10:28 a.m. No one was home and no injuries were reported, officials said. The fire did not extend up out of the crawl space and into the cottage, officials said.
Cutchogue and Jamesport Fire Departments were at the scene and the Southold Fire Department was called to the Cutchogue to stand by with an ambulance, officials said.
