'Holiday Raffle For A Cause' Benefits 2 Battling Cancer
Dylan Newman, a high school student, and Matt Rolle, a young father, are fighting cancer and the North Fork community is rallying to help.

NORTH FORK, NY — The North Fork community is coming together to help two of their own fight battles with cancer.
Darla Doorhy of Mattituck has organized a "Holiday Raffle for a Cause," to benefit Dylan Newman, 16, of Southold, and Matthew Rolle, a young father from Aquebogue.
Prizes include a handmade Christmas quilt created and donated by Karen Nicholson of North Fork Quilters, five dinner raffle tickets donated by Doorhy of Kait's Angels — a not-for-profit organization that performs acts of kindness in the community to keep the memory of Kaitlyn Doorhy, Darla's daughter, alive — and a 12' pre-lit white Christmas tree donated by Kathy Liguori, an independent Touchstone Crystal by Swarovski representative. Prizes are valued at $950.

"Thank you for supporting Dylan and Matthew during this holiday season," organizers said.
The dinner raffle, organized by Kait's Angels, also benefits Newman and Rolle. The winner will receive a four-course farm-to-table dinner for 20 prepared by a private chef at Pellegrini Vineyards. The North Fork experience, valued at $6,500, includes a customized menu prepared and served by private chef Chris Richards of East End Events and CJ's American Grill, as well as a barrel wine tasting at Pellegrini Vineyards.
Tickets cost $25 each or 5 for $100; the drawing will be held on Dec. 28 at CJ's American Grill, located in the Mattituck shopping plaza. The winning ticket holder need not be present to win.
Tickets can be purchased at CJ's American Grill in Mattituck, Pellegrini Vineyards in Cutchogue, and on the Kait's Angels website. The date of the dinner will be determined by the host.

Doorhy and others are also selling handmade masks for $5 on Saturdays and Sundays at Santa's Christmas Tree Farm LI in. Cutchogue. Proceeds will also benefit Dylan Newman and Matt Rolle.
