Man Airlifted After North Fork Crash: Police
The crash took place Wednesday morning on Moores Lane in Cutchogue, police say.
CUTCHOGUE, NY — A man was airlifted after a crash in Cutchogue Wednesday, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, the crash took place at 7:18 a.m. on Moores Lane when Andrew Torgove, 61, of Mattituck, was driving a 1973 VW west on New Suffolk Ave. and collided with a 2018 Mercedes driven by Patricia Buonaitio, 48, of Mattituck.
Buonaitio was attempting to make a left turn onto Moores Lane and failed to yield to Torgove, police said.

Torgove was extricated from the vehicle and treated by Cutchogue Fire Department and Stony Brook University Hospital first responders, then transported to Stony Brook by Suffolk County Police aviation for treatment of his injuries, police said.
No charges were filed in the crash, police said.
