Man Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Deer Fence: Police
He was found passed out in his vehicle, police say.
SOUTHOLD, NY — A man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he crashed into a deer fence in Southold on Monday, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, the crash took place at 2:31 p.m. on Route 48 when authorities received a report that Oscar Godinez-Escober, 23, of Selden was passed out in a vehicle on the shoulder of the roadway. Godinez-Escobar had struck a deer fence at the location and was found to be intoxicated; he was arrested and charged with DWI, first offense; aggravated DWI: per se, no prior; driving without a license; and aggravated unlicensed operation/alcohol, police said.
He was taken to police headquarters for processing and held for arraignment, police said.
