Man Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Parked Car: Police

SOUTHOLD, NY — A Mattituck man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a Southold crash Saturday, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, the crash took place at 4:52 p.m. on Anderson Avenue when Christopher Brewi, 68, who was driving a 2004 tan Mercury Mountaineer, crashed into a parked car at a home on Hyatt Road.

Brewi was given roadside sobriety tests and found to be intoxicated; he was arrested, charged with DWI, transported to police headquarters, processed, and held for arraignment, police said.
