Man Charged With DWI In Cutchogue: Cops

He crossed over the double yellow line, police say.

CUTCHOGUE, NY — A Selden man was charged with driving while intoxicated in Cutchogue Tuesday, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place at 4:51 p.m. on Route 25. Christopher Ciccarelli, 43, was arrested and charged with DWI, first offense, and moving from lane unsafely, police said.

Southold town police officers responded to a report of a driver operating a 2011 Ford Mustang erratically on Route 25, police said. The vehicle in question was located and the driver was observed to have crossed over the double yellow line; a further investigation found that Ciccarelli was intoxicated, police said.

He was placed under arrest and transported to Southold police headquarters where he was processed and held for arraignment, police said.
