Man Charged With DWI And Giving False Name: Police
The Mattituck man was arrested and charged with DWI in Southold, police say.
SOUTHOLD, NY — A Mattituck man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and giving a false name, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, a call came in on Sunday at 4:11 p.m. about a person driving "erratically" on Route 25 in Southold.
Freddie Ramirez, 38, was failing to maintain his lane of travel as well as driving while intoxicated, police said. He was taken to police headquarters for processing and fingerprints indicated that he had given a false name, police said.

He was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI: per se, two prior violations; DWI, previous conviction in 10 years; first degree aggravated unlicensed operation — alcohol; second-degree forgery; and false personation, police said.
Ramirez was then held to await arraignment, police said.
