Man Charged With DWI In Greenport: Police
The man, who was driving a Mercedes sedan, was seen swerving over the double yellow and white lines, police say.

GREENPORT, NY — A Philadelphia man was charged with driving while intoxicated in Greenport early Sunday, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place at 1 a.m. on Route 48. Abdulrahman Hazazi, 25, was arrested and charged with DWI, first offense; operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 of 1%, first offense; moving from lane unsafely; and operating an unregistered vehicle, police said.
While on patrol an officer saw a 2009 Mercedes-Benz sedan heading westbound on County Road 48 in Greenport; the driver failed to maintain his lane of travel and was swerving over the double yellow and white lines, police said.

After a traffic stop, Hazazi was identified as the driver; he was found to be intoxicated at the scene after failing several standardized field sobriety tests, police said.
Hazazi was placed under arrest and transported to Southold police headquarters, where he was processed and held to await morning arraignment, police said.
