Riverhead Troopers arrest 11during routine traffic patrols

The State Police in Riverhead made six arrests for driving drunk, two arrests for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, two arrests for possession of marijuana and one arrest for possession of a controlled substance.
On August 4, Gilberto Reyes, 41, of Brentwood, was stopped for speeding on Route 27. A DMV check revealed Reyes’ license had been suspended more than 35 times. Reyes was released on $500 bail and ordered to appear in the Town of Southampton Court on August 13 at 9 in the morning.
On August 4, Holly Olsen, 22, of Rocky Point, was stopped for speeding on Route 27 and found to be in possession of a controlled substance. She was charged with possession of a hypodermic needle. Olsen was released on tickets returnable to the Town of Southampton Court on August 11 at 1 in the afternoon.

On August 4, Michael Palazzo, 51, of Jefferson Station, was stopped after failing to maintain his lane while driving on Route 27 in the Town of Southampton. A subsequent investigation revealed Palazzo to be in possession of marijuana. He was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Southampton Court on August 8 at 9 in the morning.
On August 5, Ruth Piscitelli, 54, of East Quogue, was stopped after having been observed failing to maintain her lane while driving on Route 27 in East Quogue. A subsequent investigation revealed that she was drunk. She was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Southampton Court at a later date.

On August 5, Oksana Goloubev, 34, of West Palm Beach, Florida was stopped for a routine traffic check on Noyac Road in Southampton. She was subsequently found to be drunk and a DMV check of her licensed revealed her license had been suspended. She was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and released on tickets returnable to the Town of Southampton Court on a later date.
On August 6, Alfredo Bac, 30, of Riverhead, was observed failing to maintain his lane while driving on West Main Street in Riverhead. A subsequent investigation found Bac to be drunk. He was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated and remanded to the Suffolk County Sheriff and arraigned the next day.
On August 7, Kory Macwhinnie, 26, of Southampton, was stopped for a routine traffic check in the Village of Southampton. A subsequent investigation revealed that she was drunk and in possession of marijuana. She was released on tickets returnable to the Village of Southampton Court at a later date.
On August 8, Maria Benvento, 28, of West Palm Beach, Florida was stopped for speeding and failing to dim her headlights while driving on Flamingo Road in East Hampton. A subsequent investigation revealed she was drunk. She was held overnight and arraigned in the Town of East Hampton Court before being released on an appearance ticket and $500 bail.
On August 8, David Greenbaum, 67, of Brooklyn, was stopped for a routine traffic check on Route 27 heading eastbound west of exit 65, and found to be in possession of marijuana. He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Southampton Court at a later date.
On August 9, Rose Rodriguez, 28, of Manhattan, was stopped for a routine traffic check on Route 27 heading eastbound west of exit 65. A subsequent investigation determined that she was drunk. She was released on traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Southampton Court at a later date.
On August 9, A.E. Montenegro, 34, of Centereach, was stopped for speeding on Route 27, west of exit 65, and found to be in possession of marijuana. She was released on tickets returnable to the Town of Southampton Court on August 18, at 1 in the afternoon.
