No Coronavirus, But Southold Schools Will Close For Cleaning

SOUTHOLD, NY — Although the Southold Union Free School district has had no positive coronavirus test results, schools will be closed Friday and Monday.

"This is out of an abundance of caution and will allow the district to complete a deep, thorough cleaning of the buildings. We will remain in constant contact with the Suffolk County Department of Health," Superintendent David Gamberg said.

He added that he will keep staff and families apprised of any additional information and urged all to continue to check the district website, social media, and email for next steps after Monday.
