Riverhead Woman Busted for Stealing from Mattituck Clothing Store: Police

A Riverhead woman was nabbed today after she was caught stealing from a Mattituck clothing store, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, the woman, 45, was arrested at 1:53 p.m. after the owner of Renee’s Clothing Store reported a femaie walking out of the store without paying for items.

She was stopped in Riverhead after leaving the store and charged with petty larceny, police said; the suspect was transported to the Southold Police Department, where she was processed and held for arraignment, police said.
