GREENPORT, NY — 'Tis the season for festivities in Greenport this weekend, as a Winter Snow Globe Scavenger Hunt kicks off on Small Business Saturday.
The 1st Annual Winter Snow Globe Scavenger Hunt is presented by the Greenport Business Improvement District.

According to Nancy Kouris, owner of the Blue Duck Bakery Cafe and Greenport BID board member in charge of the Scavenger Hunt, more than 50 merchants and organizations will display over 100 snow globes for scavenger hunters to find and record on a special form.
"Find some, find them all and turn in for prizes for children or a chance to enter and win our grand prize raffle basket — for ages 21 and over – worth close to $1,000 in Greenport goods and services," she said.

Lastly, anyone who spends $25 or more at a participating merchant will receive another chance to win the grand prize raffle basket, through Dec. 24.

“Following our successful Halloween event, the Greenport Village BID and its members are offering more holiday fun while requiring the public to be COVID compliant by wearing masks, social distancing and staying in small groups," Kouris said. "Our events can be done almost completely outside and over the course of three to four weeks. The village is beautifully lit up with decorations and lights and surely delivers a festive enjoyable shopping experience."
