Talented Cast Presents 'Oliver: The Musical' at Greenport School Thursday
The beloved musical features a cast of talented young people and classics such as "Consider Yourself" and "As Long As He Needs Me"
NORTH FORK, NY - A talented cast of young thespians is set to unveil the Greenport School Drama Club’s production of “Oliver: The Musical” on Thursday.
The show, which features music and lyrics by Lionel Bart, is based on the Charles Dickens’ classic “Oliver Twist” and, after premiering in London in 1960, was widely embraced by audiences during its long Broadway run and scores of revivals. A musical film was produced in 1969.
Performances take place Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Greenport School auditorium. Tickets are available at Floyd Memorial Library and at the door, with prices $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12 and seniors. Tickets can be reserved by emailing dramaclub@greenportufsd.org.
