Tarps Needed to Keep Shelter Dogs Warm, Dry During Coming Storm

The North Fork Animal Welfare League has put a call out for tarps, as well as help shoveling after the snow has stopped.

As the North Fork braces for its first blast of Old Man Winter, the North Fork Animal Welfare League has a shout out for supplies needed to keep four-legged friends safe during the expected snowstorm.

The NFAWL is in dire need of large-sized tarps, as soon as possible, said Gabrielle Stroup of the NFAWL. “The outside kennels need to be tarped so the snow won’t blow in to the dogs’ kennels,” she said. ”Any donations, new or used, are greatly appreciated.”

In addition, the shelter could also use zip ties — and help shoveling, after the snow has stopped.
