Thief Stole Tools, Equipment From North Fork Business: Cops

A truck, tools and equipment were taken but while the truck was later found, leaf blowers and lawn mowers are still missing, police say.

CUTCHOGUE, NY — The search is on for whoever stole tools from a truck in Cutchogue on Sunday, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southold Town Police are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the thief that stole a landscaping truck and trailer containing tools and equipment from outside of Chris Mohr Landscaping & Masonry, located at 22155 Route 48 in Cutchogue, at 2 a.m. on April 19, police said.

The truck and trailer were located at 12:30 p.m. that day on Taylor Avenue in East Patchogue, police said.

The tools, including leaf blowers, lawn mowers, and a saw were missing, police said; the individual arrived in Cutchogue in a Dodge 2500 Series pickup truck with a model year between 1994 and 2002, police said.
