Vaccinations Available For Seniors At Southold Recreation Center

Here's how to make an appointment.

SOUTHOLD, NY — Days after Southold Town Supervisor Scott Russell sounded a cry for expanded vaccine distribution and a fix to a process he called "fragmented" and "chaotic" on the North Fork, a new pop-up vaccination day has been scheduled for people 65 and older.

The event, hosted by Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital, takes place on Thursday at the Southold Town Recreation Department, located at 970 Peconic Lane in Peconic, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Stony Brook University Hospital is offering the limited number of COVID-19 vaccines available for seniors only; bring identification and proof of eligibility status. Those who do not book an appointment and/or are not eligible will not be vaccinated. Although the online booking system allowed for those with underlying conditions to make appointments Wednesday morning, only those 65 and over will be vaccinated.
