Apple picking season is here! We've compiled a list of some of the best orchards for pick-your-own apples and plenty of fall fun.

Patch has compiled a list of where Long Islanders can take part in the classic fall activity.

Many of the apple picking locations offer a little bit of everything for fall fun, while other places stick to the basics and provide their customers with you-pick orchards where they can get the freshest apples.

Where to go apple picking on Long Island:

Davis Peach Farm

  • Apple picking starts Labor Day Weekend.
  • 561 Hulse Landing Road in Wading River
  • Davis Peach Farm U-pick apples are offered daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call the orchard at 631-929-1115 prior to coming to make sure there is enough produce to go around.

Hank’s PumpkinTown

  • 240 Montauk Highway in Water Mill
  • Apple picking at Hank’s Pumpkintown starts Sept. 10. Apple picking is open Saturday's, Sunday's and select school holidays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Hank’s closes at 6 p.m. More apple picking information is available here.

Harbes Farm

  • 5698 Sound Avenue in Riverhead
  • Harbes Farm offers apple picking from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from September to October. Click here for more information.
  • Apple Picking will be available Labor Day.

Lewin Farms

  • 812 Sound Avenue in Calverton
  • Pick Your Own apples at Lewin Farms is available from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. starting in late August/September through October. Call prior to making your trip to make sure Pick Your Own apples is available. Only cash is accepted on the fields.
  • Their farmstand is open every day except Tuesdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Milk Pail Farmstand

  • 1346 Montauk Highway in Water Mill
  • Milk Pail Farmstand apple picking season begins Labor Day weekend on Saturday, Sept. 3 and goes until October. The farm is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. For more information, click here.

Seven Ponds Orchard

  • 67 Seven Ponds Road in Water Mill
  • Open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Call the orchard at (631) 726-8015 before coming and to find out which apples they have ready for picking.

Wickham’s Fruit Farm

  • 28700 Route 25 in Cutchogue
  • Apple picking at Wickham’s Fruit Farm says it will open in 2-3 weeks (mid to late-September) and will go through October. The farm is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday through Saturday. Check out the U-Pick rules here.

Woodside Orchards

  • 729 Main Road in Aquebogue and Manor Lane in Jamesport
  • Woodside Orchards grows a large variety of apples. The U-pick season is from Saturday, Sept. 17 until October.
  • Apple picking hours for the Aquebogue location are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
  • Hours for the Jamesport location are 10 a.m. to 5 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Fort Salonga Farm

  • 30 Meadow Glen Road in Northport
  • One of the smaller farms on this list, apple picking is available from Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $20.00 per 1/4 bushel bag. Check out estimated ripening dates for apples here.
