NORTHPORT, NY — Three Northport High School students were selected for the 2021 National Association for Music Education (NAfME), continuing what the Northport-East Northport Union Free School District referred to in a news release as the school's "tradition of excellence in music."

Amelia Semple, Alexandra Weber and Alison Crosley are three of only 719 high school musicians selected across the Northeast to participate in NAfME.

Alison, Amelia and Alexandra will go on to perform in the virtual ensemble this April. Prior to the performance, the students will meet for a program of rehearsals, masterclasses and sectionals in March. For the performance itself, all students will be recording videos of themselves singing for the submission, a change to years past due to the coronavirus pandemic.
