• A thief may be walking around with used electronics and a new hairdo after breaking into two Jericho Turnpike stores.Â
Suffolk County police said they received an alert at 3 a.m. Sunday that an alarm had gone off at Quag's Buy, Sell & Trade at 975 West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown.

• Imani Parker, 22, of Roosevelt, was arrested Aug. 23 in South Setauket and charged with first-degree possession of a forged instrument, a felony. According to a police report, Parker allegedly used fake currency at Home Depot on Pond Path at about 8 p.m.
