Dairy Queen Opens In East Northport After 2 Years

East Northport opened its doors to a new Dairy Queen location on March 16.

Dairy Queen franchisee Laura Maier told Patch the East Northport store, located at 4005 Jericho Turnpike, took her two years to open.

The store offers 4,000 square feet of space and an outdoor patio that's not offered at other locations.

“We can fit about 100 people in the indoor and outdoor seating,” Maier said.

This is Maier’s fourth Dairy Queen location. Her other stores are located in Huntington, Massapequa and Levittown.

At the store’s grand opening, the first 100 people to buy a cake would receive a free grill burger once a week for the entire year. Maier said the deal sold out in just an hour.

The store employs about 60 people full and part-time.

“We’re excited to be a part of the East Northport community,” Maier said.
