A few residents were in for an interesting sight Friday afternoon when a deer went for a swim in Northport Harbor.
Dave Weber says he was was standing on Bayview Avenue when the deer came trotting past the boatyard, hopped the bushes in Northport Park and jumped into the water.

“I followed him on my boat over to Centerport Yacht Club,” Weber told Patch. “I'm thinking he went there for happy hour as this all happened at 4:15 p.m.”
