Videos can include unauthorized music videos, re-edited film trailers, and other creatively produced material that incorporates pre-existing footage.
“The competition to win a Webby is intense. Going up against large media companies like YouTube, DEFY Media, and my personal favorite, Super Deluxe, was extremely intimidating. However, I knew when I saw the response to the video online that I had a strong shot at winning. When I was notified that I won, I was overwhelmed. This is an important victory for me as well as for all of the other freelancer and independents who have been in the trenches over the past decade,” said Schleichkorn.
