East Northport Pizza Restaurant Vandalized: Police

The back door of Chefs of New York was pried open, and items were stolen or damaged on Monday morning, police say.

EAST NORTHPORT, NY — A pizza kitchen on the border of East Northport and Elwood was vandalized on Monday morning, Suffolk police said.

A person or people pried open the back door of Chefs of New York, which is at 508 Larkfield Road, at 1 a.m. Monday, police said. Items were stolen and damaged, police said. Money was stolen as well, police said. Whoever is responsible is wanted for burglary and criminal mischief.

Residents were encouraged by a friend of the Chefs of New York owners to patronize the business. The menu includes specialty pizzas, pasta, paninis, wraps, entrees and more. According to its website, the restaurant is open 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekdays and 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekends.
