Elwood's John Glenn HS Honors February Students Of The Month

ELWOOD, NY — Travis Ancewicz,Jake Haddad, Jessica Hunt and Daniella Macini were named Elwood-John H. Glenn High School's February Students of the Month, according to the school district.

Since 2019, one student from each grade has been nominated by their classmates to receive the honor. Students who are selected showcase respect, responsibility and positive relationships. The award's recipients are often described as students who push themselves and others to do their best, demonstrate positive school spirit and show perseverance in the face of adversity.

Each month, nominations are sent to the All School Student Council, who narrow down the selection to two nominees from each grade. The Student of the Month Faculty Committee makes the final decision.

"The Elwood School District congratulates the John H. Glenn High School February Students of the Month!" the district wrote.

The winners by grade are:

• Freshman: Jessica Hunt
• Sophomore: Daniella Macini
• Junior: Travis Ancewicz
• Senior: Jake Haddad
