Elwood's John Glenn HS Recognizes January Students Of The Month

ELWOOD, NY — Elwood-John H. Glenn High School has named its January Students of the Month: Colin Martin, Amelia Rizzi, Kyle Smythe and Anna Stavros.

Since 2019, one student from each grade has been nominated by their classmates to receive the honor, according to the school district. Selected students exemplify respect, responsibility, and positive relationships. The award's recipients are often described by their peers as students who push themselves and others to do their best, demonstrate positive school spirit and show perseverance in the face of adversity.

Each month, nominations are sent to the All School Student Council, who narrow down the selection to two nominees from each grade. The Student of the Month Faculty Committee then makes the final decision.

"The Elwood School District congratulates the John H. Glenn High School January Students of the Month!" the district wrote.
