Fourth Of July 2019: What's Open, Closed In Northport

Some services will be closed in Northport for the Fourth of July through the rest of the week.

NORTHPORT, NY — As families across the country celebrate the Fourth of July with fireworks, cookouts and much-needed vacation days, many services will also take a break for the holiday. With the Fourth of July falling on a Thursday this year, some services will be closed in Northport on Friday as well.

Northport Village Hall will close July 4 and 5, and the Northport Courts will also be closed for the two-day period. Other services such as the Northport East Public Library will only be closed July 4 and then reopen for regular hours Friday.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo also announced that state troopers and local law enforcement agencies will increase patrols to combat intoxicated driving during the holiday from June 29 through July 5, according to a news release.

Northport Village Hall: Closed on July 4 and 5.

Northport Village Clerk's Office: Closed on July 4 and 5.

Northport Village Court: Closed on July 4 and 5.

Northport East Public Library: Closed on July 4 and will reopen for regular hours on Friday from 9 a.m - 5 p.m.

East Northport Public Library: Closed on July 4 and reopens for regular hours on Friday from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. The library will also be closed on Sunday.
