Helping Four-Legged Friends This Holiday

Residents can remember beloved, late pets by helping to rehabilitate rescued and abused ones.

For the pet lovers out there, the holidays aren't just about the human members of the family, but the four-legged ones too.

In the spirit of charity this season, East Northport's League for Animal Protection of Huntington is holding a fundraiser to help abandoned and abused animals by helping residents remember their own pets, who have passed on.

The League for Animal Protection of Huntington is holding a special ceremony to decorate its first annual Holiday Giving Tree. For a $10 donation residents can honor or remember a beloved pet or animal lover by having their name inscribed on an ornament and hung upon the tree.

All are welcome (sans pets) to partake in the festivities. Refreshments will be served and all proceeds will go directly to the rescue and rehabilitation of the animals in the care of LAP.
