Holiday Musicale Coming To Northport
The Canta Libre Chamber Ensemble will perform in Northport later this month. Here's how to get your ticket.

NORTHPORT, NY — Lovers of holiday music, this one is for you. An evening of elegant chamber music by the acclaimed group, Canta Libre, is coming to Northport, presented by the Northport Historical Society.
The performance will be held in the society's Museum gallery on Sunday, Dec. 15 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The Northport Historical Society can be found at 215 Main St., Northport.
Canta Libre is a renowned quintet of flute, harp and strings, founded in 2002 by flutist Sally Shorrock to foster the performance and enjoyment of music composed specifically for a harp quintet. Canta Libre was recently featured at The American Harp Society 50th Anniversary National Conference, has appeared at Lincoln Center, The Music Festival of the Hamptons, Concerts at One at Trinity Church in Manhattan, The Brooklyn Public Library and the University of Texas at Austin, among other prestigious venues. Along with Shorrck, Canta Libre’s musicians include Karen Lindquist on harp, Bernard Tamosaitis on cello and Bradley Bosenbeck on violin.

In addition to the 50-minute performance, guests will also enjoy champagne and delicious hors d'oeuvres from The Culinary Studio in the Museum’s brightly decorated gallery, featuring a large holiday tree trimmed with ornaments from around the world.
