Kindergarten Registration Starts Jan. 27 in Northport Schools

Kindergarten registration is fast approaching within the Northport-East Northport School District.

Resident children with birth dates ranging from Jan. 1, 2009 through Dec. 31, 2009 are eligible to attend the half-day kindergarten program within the Northport-East Northport Union Free School District commencing September 2014.

Registration for these programs is scheduled from 9 a.m. until noon at the William J. Brosnan School (158 Laurel Ave., Northport) as follows: 

Children registering for Bellerose Avenue, Dickinson Avenue, or Fifth Avenue Schools:

• Last names beginning with A through K: Jan. 27 or Tuesday, Jan. 28
• Last names beginning with L through Z: Jan. 29 or Jan. 30
• Parents unable to attend Monday through Thursday can also register on Jan. 31

Children registering for Norwood Avenue, Ocean Avenue or Pulaski Road Schools:

• Last names beginning with A through K: Feb. 3 or Feb. 4
• Last names beginning with L through Z: Feb. 5 or Feb. 6
• Parents unable to attend Monday through Thursday can also register on Feb. 7.

• Proof of Residency (at least two proofs) – click here
• Parent/Guardian photo ID must be presented at the time of registration
• A Record of Your Child’s Birth – an original birth certificate or baptismal certificate.
• Proof of immunization
• Completed registration forms
