Lota Veco Opens As New Healthy Fast Casual Eatery
Northport diners get a new option for fast casual dining with vegan and non-vegan menu options.
Northport, NY — Lota Veco, a new eatery that opened three weeks ago at 192 Laurel Road, adds a new health-focused option to the Northport dining scene. Owner Sosh Andriano told Patch that the new restaurant hopes to elevate fast casual dining with fresh ingredients and a menu that can accommodate a range of dietary needs.
Andriano, who also owns The Whale's Tale and Harbor Head Brewing Co. in the village, said he envisions Lota Veco as "a quick healthier option for people when they are out and about, offering food that is familiar but healthier and lighter." The menu features Mexican and Southern California flavors and classic ingredient have been revamped to be healthier, he said. All the bases for the dishes start out as vegan, with protein options ranging from meat to vegan options so dishes can be fully vegan.
Lota Veco also serves local beer and organic cocktails and the counter-service spot carries two vegan desserts. Ingredients are fresh and chemical-free, says Andriano. A full menu with online ordering is available on the restaurant's website.
