Memorial Day Remembrance's-What does it mean to you?
Memorial Day is a Day to Remember and Celebrate acts of bravery to ensure Freedoms continue to exist. Maryann Maltese Shares below
Maryann Maltese, a former Regional Communications Manager for NYS Legislature; also licensed Real Estate Associate with Atlantic Shores-Better Homes and Gardens, worked on various 9-11 Fund Projects and 9-11 Memorial Park Artifact collections within the Downstate Region.
After 9-11; introduction of Individual Legislations were introduced for Inactive Emergency Fire Fighters who responded and perished the day of; including legislation for the Inactive status Fire Fighter and Decorative Chaplin-the Late Lt. James Corrigan. The Legislation entailed insuring that Lt. James Corrigan received proper accolades for service and any/all death benefits for his courageous response to be issued to his beneficiaries. I'm proud to have been a large part of that Movement. Additionally, I Spearheaded 9-11 Solemn pieces of the Towers to be used in Memorial Parks or donated to Civics and Non-Profits who Pledged to take care of these structural pieces. The NJ/NY Port Authority had oversight and together; we ensured proper issuances of pieces to responsible organizations; such as Volunteer Fire Departments and Community Based Organizations so that those that perished, those that survived would have local locations to pay homage. The first piece was installed in Middle Village, Queens; and where else do you find structural pieces of 9-11? Post a Picture-and share your thought today as a way of Remembrance/Memorialization Celebration of one's Service.
Today, as NYS Public Officer-in Inactive Duty; I find myself in similar dynamic; where my Public Employer-NYS Legislature is resistant in introduction of Employee as of Right Legislation for my Service time rendered; 1994-2013. During my Tenure,I was paid 2x less while in Active service and one of the Only Women in the Unit. The decision by NYS Legislature is based on Present Leadership within Roles of Leadership-as this form of Employer-Employee Based Introduction is Common Practice to correct employment files. The Resistance by Local State Legislative Members of the NYS Legislature to Not Introduce for a Fellow; is a Violation of our Mutual Public Officer Oath Section 74, 76 and additionally a violation of State Equality Act. This decision by NYS Legislature is unreasonable and discriminatory. Internal Legislative Relief is our Process to Correct Public Employers when the Employer is at Fault. I'm in Inactive Service for 8 years at the hands of the Employer and I'm not Severed in Service as many Inactive Public Servants are-that means; I'm presently not Collecting my State Pension-which again; is a Second Employer Violation.

I'm in inactive service; at the hands of the Employer-NYS. That is unjustified Public Employer Practices-Human Rights Violations at the Central Core of our Mutual Beliefs as we see each other as One.
My request for Corrective Earnings Introduction is 2 Legislative Sessions Old already-further demonstrating that Women in NYS Public Service are Undervalued within Consideration of Employment-that is discrimination Violation definition within Earnings.

What can be done to change NYS's Poor Decision Making-Call and email your NYS Representative to stop stalling on Employment Based Bill Introductions for Maryann Maltese; a law needed to "Retroactively Correct Maryann Maltese's Earnings as Required by Public Service Employment Rules of Law-already understood as acceptable Public Employer practices". Maryann is the Only Female Public Officer-not reinstated from Unpaid Leave Approval at tenure-Continued Violation of the Family Federal-and Family State Leave Acts. Tenure of Service in NYS Public Service within my Rank and File-is 10 Years-I have 19 years. There is no logical reason to intentionally eliminate myself from entitled Severance; why would an Officer intentionally not report to Return to Duty requirements? It's a great question for Present Law Makers intentionally denying me As of Right.
Additionally, in 1995; I was welcomed into the NYS Trooper Academy as an Officer; they sought me 2x to enter the academy-I respect the Code. I live the Code in civilian life. NYS Legislature encouraged me to remain in Policy-this is why this is Unjustified Employer Practice by NYS Legislature. My tenure is also decorative as I as a Public Officer who happens to be Female (jokingly) is still ranked within the Profession at 74% Voter Approval Captured Rating. That Percentage is Statewide in 250 Legislative Districts a decade Later. NYS Legislature is picking and choosing who within Employment receives Bill introductions and who does not-Intentionally.
Injustice is injustice; Equality of Earnngs Law Passed in 2019-Full time Employment within Public Service is Priority 1 (Maltese)-but I've been left off the Table-including this NYS Budget of 2021-where 660 Million was earmarked for NYS Public Servants-not Maryann Maltese.
Equality of Earnings plus Rules of Public Service Employment-support my request. Do you know any Employee that can afford to wait 8 years for their Employer to do the right thing-as the Employer is NYS Policy Makers? Interesting position to be in-as I was always at the Conference Table promoting good works and changes for New Yorkers.
Promote Procedural Aspects to be included within 2019 Equality of Earnings Law-which presently is not included.-making the Present Equality of Earnings Law in NYS-Useless doctrine. The Passage of the Maryann Maltese Law is the face and enforces NYS to "Live the Cause"-because foundational roots to issue Equality within Earnings-is not included in the 2019 State Equality Law. Equality means-Equal aspects within Earnings first-then if other prongs of Civil Rights are Violated-that fact pattern must be proven.
Join me; in advocating for what is Right and Justification in Issuances of Earnings. I worked Full time and Excelled; and I'm due 100 pennies for every dollar I earned between 1994-2013; within my Rank and File. Does anyone not agree with me? Post it.
