National Weekend Radio Show Broadcasts from East Northport
East Northport national radio show about entertainment is broadcast to over 38 stations every weekend. Making radio fun again.
A dream has come true in East Northport, New York! Long time resident, Douglas D. Viviani, has always dreamed of following in the footsteps of Bob and Ray, Jean Shepherd (A Christmas Story) and CBS Radio Mystery Theater, and becoming a force for FUN on the radio. In 2005, Douglas threw caution to the wind and pitched his idea for America's Entertainment Pop Culture Radio Show, Everything Old is New Again to the powers that be and got the green light.
With only his love of radio, thousands and thousands of hours listening to radio and an unending fascination with all things entertainment, and pop culture, the show went on the air. Each weekend, Douglas and his long time friend from Half Hollow Hills High School East pick a specific topic of entertainment pop culture, movies, televison, theater, UFO's, sports or even food, and examine what is the history of that topic, why that topic is popular today. "It's basically like two guys in a bar arguing which is the best Disney Princess or what is the best James Bond or TV Sitcom. The topics are endless and all lead us leaving the listener with a smile", explains Host Douglas Viviani.
Everything Old is New Again also features sound clips to jog the memory, quizzes and games to challenge the mind and introduce characters developed by Douglas and David for a few laughs. They have also had their share of celebrities stop by to join in on the fun, such as Jay Johnson from Soap, Peter Weller of Robocop fame, The Amazing Kreskin, Robin himself, Burt Ward from Batman 1966, Bernie Koppel of the Love Boat, Paul Sorvino of Goodfella's and more.
