NEFCU opened a new location in Northport last week, making it the bank's fifth Suffolk County branch.
The 1,600 square-foot Northport branch is located at 830 Fort Salonga Road. It will be open six days a week:
- Monday through Thursday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Friday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A Huntington branch is set to open in the following weeks at 356 New York Ave.

“We’re proud to call Long Island home and we’re excited to be able to put out more and more welcome mats throughout the island,” Eileen Nolan, executive vice president of NEFCU, said in a press release. “By the end of this year we will have opened four new branches, and a total of six over the past two years."
"Our smaller-scale branch formats are catching on, and we’ve received a tremendous response to our concept of delivering high-tech solutions partnered with personalized member service,” Nolan said.
