Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Rayden
Rayden, a 2-year-old female grey calico, was saved from life on the streets. Now, she's looking for life in a home.

NORTHPORT, NY — Rayden, a 2-year-old female long-haired grey calico, is the Northport Cat Rescue Association's featured pet this week.
"Rayden was saved from life on the streets," Lora Wild, a volunteer at the rescue, told Patch. "Because she was so sweet, there was no way we could continue to let her fend for herself through another winter. As pretty as this girl is, it is what’s inside her heart that makes her stunning. Currently in foster care, her foster mom said there is not a mean bone in her body."
The minute someone touches Rayden, she starts to purr and then knead her head up against them, according to Wild. She is curious, timid and loving.

"[She] will come sit on your lap and groom herself, ever the lady always wanting to keep herself looking purrfect," Wild wrote via email.
Rayden is being fostered with other cats and has no aggression towards them.

"Any household she is in, we believe she will do great in as long as there are plenty of snuggles for Rayden, as she is a true love bug," Wild said. "She is an amazing and graceful girl, and we hope that Rayden will finally be home for the holidays with a family that will keep her safe, loved, and happy."
Rayden is spayed, has all her shots, is litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
