Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Darius & Blake
The 3-month-old bonded brothers are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week. Here's how you can adopt them.

NORTHPORT, NY — Darius and Blake, 3-month-old bonded brothers, are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.
Darius, Blake and three other siblings were born in a Bay Shore home after their mom was discovered pregnant.
"Thankfully they were invited in by a kind family so she could deliver and care for her babies in a safe environment," Lora Wild, a volunteer at the rescue, said. "Mommy was adopted by that same family, and the kittens were given to NCRA in order to help them be adopted into some loving homes of their own."

Blake is always the first one to fall asleep and the last to wake up, according to Wild. He is a cuddle bug and will jump up and snuggle with his next family wherever they may be relaxing.
Darius is a total lap cat, Wild said. He loves to walk all over people to find the perfect warm spot to cuddle on.

"They are currently in a foster home and are doing unbelievably," Wild said. "All they want to do is play, explore, cause mischief and be loved. According to their foster mom, 'They run to us, and are so social and when they finally do slow down all they want to do is cuddle.' They are both extremely affectionate and loyal, and whoever adopts these 2 love bugs will be very lucky. Just think, these munchkins can be part of your family just in time to ring in the New Year, and their three siblings will be ready soon after!"
Both are neutered, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
To meet Darius or Blake, or any of the association's other kittens and cats, head to its Northport Cat Rescue website and fill out an application to let them know you'd like to meet them or any other cats. You can also fax an application to 631-651-5597 or call NCRA at 631-606-2631.
